Today, we are excited to announce that NewFounders events and resources will now exist within the HGL family. NewFounders is a hub of over 34k practitioners and innovators lifting up the next generation of political tech leaders through conferences, white papers and resources. By bringing these communities together under one roof, Higher Ground Labs is blazing an even stronger path forward in its mission to build a cohesive ecosystem of digital strategies and effective technology for progressive political campaigns and candidates.

There is growing demand for information around the role of technology in politics – from both technologists and practitioners. Higher Ground Labs is committed to building space for those conversations so we can build a stronger path to 2020 and beyond. By bringing NewFounders under the HGL umbrella, we deepen our experience and expand our reach to build a more effective coalition of builders and organizers.

Genevieve Thiers of NewFounders will continue her work on RUN and the candidate-focused #Techyourself Guide, both sparked by the NewFounders conference.  Her focus will narrow into training candidates on critical tech frameworks to win races, and she will continue pairing with HGL onwards as a thought leader and donor.  Higher Ground Labs is proud to step in to captain the NewFounders conference community as she completes the shift, and Genevieve will be a presence at HGL events ongoing.
