We sat down with our new Vice President of Investments, Vin Morada, to ask some questions about what led him to HGL. We can’t wait for you to meet him. 

Prior to joining HGL, Vin worked in investing and banking roles at Wells Fargo and Merrill Lynch respectively. He also worked at Microsoft as a product manager early in his career and had a brief experience as the co-founder of a failed startup. He has a degree in electrical engineering from the University of British Columbia and an MBA from NYU.

Why did you want to work at Higher Ground Labs?

It was really a combination of the mission and the people. 

As a parent, I care more than ever about how our society evolves. Higher Ground Labs is in the business of saving democracy, and I wanted to be a part of that. Moreover, Shomik, Betsy, and the team are an incredibly talented and fun group of people, so I was thrilled to have the opportunity to join them.

What excites you most about working at Higher Ground Labs?

I’m most excited about working with founders that are doing incredible things and hopefully adding some value along the way.
